TRAPS N GEMSTONES is an adventurous platform game, among gamers typically known as the "Metroidvania" genre, from Donut Games, the developer behind chart-toppers Traffic Rush, Sunday Lawn, the "Rat On A" series and many others.

THE PLOT

Precious relics have suddenly started to disappear from a well-hid pyramid that has been guarded by Bedouins for generations, who claim to have spotted an unknown perpetrator.
As a freelance archaeologist and expert on ancient explorations, youve been secretly called in to Egypt to help them solve the mystery.

Arriving at the pyramids entrance empty handed, your journey starts off by searching some well-known chambers for items and weapons to help you on your quest.
But as you get deeper into the pyramid, you begin to realize that this mystery will require more than just a whip, a sharp mind and a good amount of explosives to unravel.

Wow, this is a fantastic game. I find platformers to be pretty horrible on touchscreen in general, but this one belongs in a small group of games that absolutely nails it. Controls are impeccable. The large map and exploration-based gameplay has me wishing for a sequel. Love the theme too. Make more, please MAKE MORE!!!!

One of the best platform game I have ever played, especially the visual design. Beautiful, smart and fun!

Excellent side scrolling adventure game with seamless room to room transitions, easy controls and a nice open map puzzle style world to it. Havent made it far but so far very good!

Let us keep the gems after death and get rid of all that score thingy. We couls use the gems to buy cosmetics items instead. The score could be how long we survived or how many chests we found without dying. A way to save in-games and restart through checkpoints and a "hardcore" mode with perma death would be awesome additions. Really good game so far thanks.

I’m only 20% done, but it’s been pretty fun so far. I think this is the best game Donut has made.

Some bad moments

Why in 2014 this new game work with old icad controller but not with all new MFI contoller as steelseries stratus or Madcaz CTRL-I ?

I Honestly from the bottom of my heart dislike this game. I wouldnt invest 3$ into this game. I was expecting something more metroid like but instead I get a slow paced Indian jones wannabe game. Dont bother with it unless they lower the price. Get minecraft or modern combat instead. Not worth the 3 bucks.

I was enjoying the game thinking that I was finishing the first level but then the whole game ended and I was like, "I paid money for that? Seriously a couple hours max...

Incredible game. Donut games really make you forget your playing on a smart phone. The game reminded me of NES Castlevania

This is, by far, the best game Donut Games has presented. Its also on of the best games Ive played on iOS. These guys just became on of my favorite mobile game developers.

An all around amazing game. No issues, good price, tons of content, and challenging (yet not frustrating) gameplay. The only thing I would like to see is a mode where you get to explore a randomly generated dungeon, collect as much money as you can, and try to escape.
